Outcomes - National Boards Part I & II

The National Board is a standardized, national licensing examination in which students from the dental schools in the United States and Canada are examined by written tests. Part II of the examination assesses the clinical sciences; Part I of the examination assesses the basic sciences. Presented below are the results of such testing from 1990-2001. Because this is a standardized examination, small differences in average scores can change the national rank of the school significantly. Faculty and students focus most on achieving a 0% failure rate. Average refers to the average of the score of all first time students taking the examination. NA= Not Available
