Hygiene Re-Entry Program


Have you been thinking about re-entering dental hygiene practice? This series of courses is designed for updating information, giving clinical experience and increasing confidence for those wishing to re-enter the practice of dental hygiene.

Course 1 - Refresher Course This course is designed for updating information on:

Dental Hygiene Assessment-Documentation includes medical history-taking dental charting, taking vital signs, intra-extra oral exams, dental radiology

    Dental Hygiene Treatment Planning periodontal disease and prevention, dental caries prevention

    Dental Hygiene Treatment Implementation asepsis/infection control, basic instrumentation, instrument sharpening, and 4-5 patient treatment experiences

    Dental Hygiene Treatment Evaluation evaluation of treatment outcomes

Course 2 - Extended Clinical Experiences - Time Individually Arranged

Dental Hygiene Treatment Experience follow-up course to Refresher for those seeking more clinical patient experiences

Course 3 - Board Preparation Course For those with recent education wishing clinical experience in preparation for taking regional Dental Board Examinations.
