CAP & GOWN GRADUATION FUND HISTORY
Since 1997, the School of Dentistry Alumni Society has raised funds to cover the cost of cap and gown rental for graduating dental and dental hygiene students. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of alumni and friends, the School of Dentistry Alumni Society was able to expand its support of the graduating students to also include additional student awards, support for graduation activities such as the Senior Recognition Banquet, and the sponsorship of the yearbook for the graduating class. Please consider sponsoring one or more dental or dental hygiene students. The cost of a cap and gown sponsorship is $45. The average dental student graduates with approximately $180,000 in debt, so they can use all of the help we can offer.
Not only is your gift tax deductible, but it will stand as a bond between alumni and students. As students focus on final exams, board examination preparations and job searches, your support will help to eliminate one worry as the students wrap up their four years in Moos Tower. Your sponsorship will be a warm welcome to the new graduates as they transition into the ranks of our colleagues. HOW?
