Major Gifts


The University's Major Giving Clubs

The epitome of giving to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is through major gifts. These gifts create endowments to support students and faculty, fund new technologies and advances in clinical patient care, and build the infrastructure that creates an environment for teaching and learning. At the University of Minnesota, these gifts are recognized by the Presidents Club. The Presidents Club recognizes gifts as follows:

Builders Society - gifts and pledges totaling $1 million or more.

Regents Society - gifts and pledges totaling $500,000 or more.

Trustees Society - gifts and pledges totaling $100,000 or more.

Chancellors Society - gifts and pledges totaling $50,000 or more.

Founders Society - gifts and pledges totaling $25,000 or more. (Previously recognizing gifts of a minimum $10, 000.)

Heritage Society - committed gifts of the future such as wills, trusts, and life insurance.

Those recognized can be involved in the following activities:

Invited to gatherings of alumni and other supporters in the Twin Cities and across the U.S. to talk with the University president and other top academicians.

Invited to special campus and college events, such as dinners, lectures, and performances.

Receive a wide variety of University publications aimed at the interests of major gift donors.

A personalized certificate and commemorative pin.

Recognition in the McNamara Center Hall of Honor at the Gateway on the Twin Cities campus.
