In-office Athletic Mouthguard Fabrication:         A Hands-on Workshop

Saturday, March 22, 2014

Would you like to obtain practical experience fabricating custom athletic mouthguards that provide maximum protection for your patients? Would you like to decrease your dental lab bill?

A custom made mouthguard, fitted by a dental professional, has been shown to provide the greatest protection from sports-related dental injuries. For maximum protection and comfort, the modern athletic mouthguard must fit properly and allow for peak athletic performance. During this practical continuing dental education workshop, you will learn about the different types of mouthguards, including their protective properties and benefits. Hands-on exercises will give you experience fabricating, fitting and finishing vacuum formed, heat pressure laminated and mouth formed mouthguards. You will return to your office better prepared to educate your patients on the need and benefits of protective devices and with the skills to fabricate mouthguards that provide the greatest protection.

This course is funded in part by an unrestricted educational grant from DENTSPLY Raintree Essix Glenroe.
