Bio Statement

Dr. Shaw has been involved in pediatric dentistry in several ways. For 5 years he was a fulltime faculty member in pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry; then he directed an inner-city children’s dental clinic in Seattle, Washington. He was in private practice in solo and group settings for 25 years. Recently he returned to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry. His current focus is clinical instruction with dental students and pediatric dental residents. Additionally, he serves as an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Over the years he has presented many continuing education programs for dentists and primary care physicians.
