Bio Statement

Dr. Grünheid received his dental degree from the University of Mainz, Germany. After practicing general dentistry for a year he then completed a three-year orthodontic specialty residency and, upon graduation as a specialist, joined the faculty in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Mainz. He was on faculty in the Department of Orthodontics at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam, the Netherlands, before joining the faculty in the Division of Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Grünheid is a member of many professional societies, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the European Orthodontic Society. He is a published author, has served as a reviewer for several scientific journals, and has lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of topics in orthodontics and oral biology.
