Brief Biographical Data:


Dr. Kuba obtained his basic dental degree (B.D.S.) in 1962 from University of Bombay, India. He came to the U.S. in 1963 as an intern/resident in oral surgery at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, New Haven Connecticut. After completing his residency, he went to Indiana University and earned Master of Science in Dentistry degree in 1966, majoring in Oral Radiology.

Dr. Kuba has been a full-time educator in oral and maxillofacial radiology for the past 38 years. He held faculty positions at Indiana University (1966-1968) and University of Montreal (1968-1970) before coming to University of Minnesota in 1970. He was appointed director of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Program in 1977.

He has been very active in his professional organizations where he has served on numerous committees and has held several offices. He was appointed an examiner for the Fellowship committee of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 1975 and served in this capacity until 1980. The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology was created in 1980. He became a Diplomate of the Board in 1981 and was appointed a Director and an examiner for diplomate certification in 1982 for a five-year term. During the last year of his tenure in 1987, he served as the President of the Board.
