Brief Biographical Data:

Dr. Mark Engelstad is Clinical Associate Professor and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, graduated with honors (OKU) from the U of MN School of Dentistry and with honors (AOA) from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Engelstad is AO/ASIF Craniomaxillofacial Faculty and lectures extensively both nationally and throughout the world on topics involving maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction.

Before joining the faculty at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Engelstad was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Harborview Medical Center at the University of Washington in Seattle. Section Head, OMS, Regions Hospital, St. Paul; and Medical Director, Hennepin Faculty Associates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
