The Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics (MDRCBB) is located within the School of Dentistry on the Twin Cities Campus of the University of Minnesota. The MDRCBB can be found on the 16th floor of the Moos Health Sciences Tower, with panoramic views of the Mississippi River, downtown Minneapolis, and the East Bank campus.
Mission
The MDRCBB is a multi-disciplinary resource dedicated to furthering research and development in biomaterials, biomechanics, and nano-technology. The MDRCBB is entirely an agent of the University of Minnesota. It undertakes research in partnership with both public and private funding agencies. The Center has the physical facilities, the equipment, and the faculty expertise for collaborative studies with academic and industrial researchers. The Center welcomes researchers to present their ideas to the MDRCBB faculty and discuss the methods that will best achieve the goals of their project. MDRCBB faculty regularly provide their expertise and training to researchers in the use of the Center’s equipment and software, which usually is state-of-the-art and unique.
