Mobile Dental Clinic to ride again

Mobile Dental Clinic 1

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has awarded the University of Minnesota Foundation (on behalf of the School of Dentistry) a grant of $1,000,000, payable over three years, to fund the UCare Mobile Dental Clinic. Project objectives include 1) providing dental care to 3,285 underserved public program patients (1,095 per year) at 16 sites across Minnesota; and 2) increasing dental, dental therapy and dental hygiene students' clinical experiences and efficiency by working with a dedicated dental assistant, seeing more patients per day, and working together as part of the dental team. The UCare Mobile Dental Clinic will resume operations August 29, providing services to UCare members across the state. Paul Schulz, DDS, MPH (Primary Dental Care-Outreach) will serve as project director.
