SOD Arranges For Faculty, Clinical Residents And Research Students To Receive Statistical Support

The School of Dentistry has arranged for faculty, clinical residents and research students to receive statistical support from Biostatistical Design and Analysis Center (BDAC). Priority will be given to those faculty and students needing help with proposals and abstracts that have deadlines during the next couple of months. Costs associated with this service will be handled centrally. This arrangement will be in place while the school works with BDAC to develop a more long-term solution to our statistical needs, including a partnership with BDAC to help recruit a full-time person who will be housed in the dental school. To arrange for a meeting to discuss your analysis needs, contact Scott Lunos, MS, (slunos@umn.edu), x4-4655 or Hongfei Guo, PhD (hfguo@umn.edu ), x6-9280. They will determine who (Scott, Hongfei, or a colleague) can best help with your project.

Please copy Cynthia Davey (davey002@umn.edu) on any contacts with Scott or Hongfei as she will be coordinating their services with us. Please also consider including the cost for statistical support in grant proposals that allow such an expense. Cynthia Davey can help you determine the most appropriate way of incorporating these into your budget.
