On Wednesday, February 7th, School of Dentistry faculty and staff gathered to enjoy the Third Annual Soup and Chili Potluck. It was a departure from the format in the past in that there was no competition. But that didn't diminish the enthusiasm of the contributors and attendees at this year's event - at one time, the 9th floor reading room was "standing room" only as every chair was occupied.
There were nine chili pots and three pots of soup. The most unusual soup was a vegetarian borscht; and Dr. Hirsch's Cincinnati Chili was probably the most unusual chili. There were lots of desserts, snacks, and breads, including a home-baked dill/onion bread - delicious.
The event was sponsored by the KIT (Keep in Touch) committee, which also oversees the creation of Dental Bytes. Look for the next issue of the now-quarterly Dental Bytes which will be published on or around April 1, 2007. Faculty and staff are welcome to submit short articles for publication in Dental Bytes and become involved in the KIT Committee. Please contact Denise Thorson or attend a KIT Committee meeting the first Monday of each month in 15-264 at 12:00-1:00.
