The School of Dentistry will hold its own memorial service for Dr. Robert Gorlin on Wednesday, November 15th at the Radisson Hotel Ballroom, 4:30-6:30 p.m. (Informal gathering at 4:30; program begins at 5:00 p.m.) Open to School of Dentistry faculty, staff and students, this will be a time for us to share our thoughts, stories and remembrances of our colleague. Dr. Gorlin’s family will also attend. You’ll hear more about our plans for this event as the date nears.
In the meantime, we plan to display photographs of Dr. Gorlin and will compile a book of letters, memories and tributes. If you’d like to write something to include in that book and/or have photos to share, please send them to Claudia Kanter, 15-136a Moos Tower. Please write your name and address on the back of photos so they can be returned to you after the memorial. The book of letters and tributes will be given to the Gorlin family.
The family is also planning a separate, academic memorial program on Sat., Dec. 16th at the Campus Club. This memorial program will be open to the broader University community, friends, family and colleagues. We’ll send additional information as we get closer to the date.
