Dr. Dan Shaw talks about candy and cavities

Dr. Daniel Shaw, a pediatric dentist and Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, talks about how sugar affects teeth and how some types of candy may be worse than others in this edition of HealthTalk, produced by the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center.

Dr. Shaw was interviewed at the University of Minnesota Pediatric Dental Clinic, Made Possible by Delta Dental of Minnesota. The 14-chair dental clinic – which features eight open-bay stations and six spacious private treatment rooms equipped with state-of-the-art patient monitoring technology for use by faculty and residents —stands as the Upper Midwest’s most advanced pediatric dental clinic and home to the University of Minnesota Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry.
