School of Dentistry's newest rotation: The Native American Dental Clinic
Students and faculty attended the grand opening of the Native American Dental Clinic (NADC) on November 1. The NADC is the site of the school’s eighth and newest clinical rotation for dental and dental hygiene students; dental therapy students will join the rotation in May 2011. Three dental students were on-hand to meet and greet guests and to conduct tours of the five-chair clinic. The new dental clinic will have a School of Dentistry faculty dentist on-site daily, as well as four senior dental students and two dental hygiene students. NADC is affiliated with the Native American Community Clinic (NACC), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has served Native Americans and others in the Phillips neighborhood and Twin Cities metropolitan area since 2003.
