TMD, Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Clinic

TMD Logo

The TMD, Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Clinic is located in Room 6-440 Moos Tower in the School of Dentistry, where faculty and staff are involved in patient care, teaching and research. We provide care to patients with TMJ (temporomandibular joint), jaw, head, and/or neck pain disorders, including clicking, locking of the TMJ, difficulty using the jaw and atypical toothaches, as well as Oral Medicine conditions, including dry and burning mouth, and mouth lesions.

This University Clinic began in 1979 under the direction of James R. Fricton, D.D.S., M.S. Services are coordinated with a team of dentists, physical therapists and health psychologists, and consultations with other physicians are requested as needed.

The first appointment involves an evaluation by one of our dentists. An individualized treatment plan is then designed for each patient. To schedule an appointment for an evaluation, please call us at (612)-626-0140 or e-mail Cindy Kiecker: kieck001@umn.edu.
