Dr. Bitonti’s extensive background goes back over 25 years as a Lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corps. He has served as assistance officer in the Navy to qualify as a Surface Warfare Officer while a dental officer. Captain Bitonti continued to advance and completed an advanced clinical program in exodontia. Throughout his journey, Captain Bitonti has held the highest level of responsibility and now serves as the Senior Military Advisor to the Commander, Walter Reed national Military Medical Center.
Dr. Bitonti practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, serves on the Oral Certifying Examination Committee of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and a member of the AO Maxillofacial Faculty, in addition to other organizations and committee appointments. Dr. Bitonti has a special interest in the management and surgical treatment of trauma and obstructive sleep apnea.
