One-year Fellowship in TMD and Orofacial Pain

This 1-year program in the Division of TMD and Orofacial Pain is a tailored learning experience that can involve clinical experiences, didactic education, and/or research opportunities. A one-year fellowship certificate is provided at the completion of the program. Clinical experience may involve observation of patient care for the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of TMD, orofacial pain and oral medicine disorders and management of sleep apnea and snoring with intraoral appliances. Fellows within the program may attend the didactic courses that are provided in our 2-year, post-graduate certificate program. The level of involvement in research, which is encouraged, is dependent on the interest of the candidate and typically involves participation in ongoing division-based research in the clinic and research laboratories. This can also include using data from previous research projects completed or ongoing in the division; therefore it is suggested that prospective applicants discuss this in depth with the faculty member who shares their research interest. The fellow is encouraged to complete one publishable manuscript based on their research or clinical experience. The cost of this fellowship program is $20,000 per year.

There is no specific deadline for accepted applications since they are evaluated on an individual basis.

The application process is the same as the Orofacial Pain residency program.
