Welcome to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry!
The University of Minnesota has the largest enrollment of pre-doctoral dental students in the upper Midwest (98 students per class). The dental program emphasizes scientific, scholarly, interpersonal communication and practice management skills required of graduates in a continually changing profession. Teaching methods are tailored to course content and include traditional lectures, small group tutorials, cooperative learning teams, routine laboratories and advanced simulation, clinical practice in a comprehensive care facility and community-based clinical experiences.

Dental School Preparation Course
Prepare for the rigors of the School of Dentistry with the 20-hour Dental School Preparation Course. The special program is designed to give students valuable experience in the laboratories and Advanced Simulation Clinic as well as a chance to attend lectures by faculty.
