Eligibility

To be eligible for the one week program, you must:

• Have completed one or two full years of college-level coursework. Specifically you must have completed some college-level courses in general or introductory biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Priority will be given to students who are considered incoming sophomores or juniors. You must be a college freshman or sophomore during the 2008-2009 academic year to apply.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or hold a permanent resident visa.
• Speak, read, and write English at the college level.
• Have an undergraduate college/university overall GPA of 2.75, with 2.7 in the sciences.
• Submit a completed application to the University of Minnesota by March 20, 2009.
• Have a strong recommendation from a college or university faculty member.  Your reference must use the required form.  This form must be received by our office no later than March 20, 2009.
