Program Director, Peter Berthold

The University of Minnesota Program for Advance Standing Students (UMN PASS) is directed by Dr. Peter Berthold (Director, Division of Community Oral Health) who has over two decades of experience working with international students.  Dr. Berthold directed a similar program at University of Pennsylvania for 18 years before moving to the University of Minnesota to create this program in 2005/6.  The class beginning in 2010 (Class of 2012) will be his 24th PASS class.  Dr. Berthold is originally from Sweden and has taught and practiced dentistry in the U.S. since 1979.   He graduated from a similar program in 1983.
