The Graduate Prosthodontic Program is 33 months in length and provides training required for a certificate in Prosthodontics and eligibility for the American Board of Prosthodontics examination. Residents may also elect to compete for a Master of Science Degree. Granting of this degree is based on completion of required course work, the development of an original research project and defense of thesis. Completion of a Master of Science degree is highly encouraged.

Goals

The Graduate Program in Prosthodontics provides an environment that enables the resident to become proficient in removable, fixed and implant prosthodontics based clinical and didactic experience.

Educational Experiences

The curriculum utilizes four types of educational methods:

  1. Seminars
  2. Traditional didactic courses
  3. Supervised clinical experiences
  4. Independent research

The diverse prosthodontic curriculum is designed to assist the resident in attaining the knowledge necessary to become a well-rounded specialist.

Application Information

The Graduate Prosthodontic Program begins on the first work day in the month of July. Application for the program must be submitted by September 1 of the prior year.
