Biostatistical Design and Analysis Center

You may wish to engage the services of the Consultants at BDAC who can provide statistical and data management support from study design to final analysis and publication of results.

Nonfundable or Internal Grants:

The School of Dentistry has contracted with three BDAC Staff members, Scott Lunos, Philippe Gaillard, and Lei Zhang for statistical support.

  • Scott Lunos, MS is a Research Fellow in the Biostatistical Design and Analysis Center (BDAC) in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Minnesota. His interest includes clinical trials and statistical computing. He has or is currently working with researchers in endodontics, dental hygiene, periodontics and orthodontics. He also works with many other researchers across the Academic Health Center. Mr. Lunos received his master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Minnesota. Contact: slunos@umn.edu
  • Philippe Gaillard, PhD is a Research Associate in the Office of Clinical Research—Biostatistical Design and Analysis Center. He provides a wide range of statistical services, including study planning, form design, data management, statistical analysis, and results summarization. Dr. Gaillard collaborates with both internal and external clients. “BDAC gives me the opportunity to be involved in every step of some truly innovative research,” Dr. Gaillard explains. “Working with the investigator to take a project from the planning stages into data analysis and results reporting is a rewarding process.” Contact: gaill002@umn.edu
  • Lei Zhang, MS is a Research Fellow in the Biostatistical Design and Analysis Center (BDAC) in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Minnesota. Ms. Zhang received her MS in Chemistry at Emory University and SCM in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Zhang is working with other clients in Pediatrics, Veterinary Medicine, Department of Medicine, Epidemiology, Dermatology and Radiology.  Contact: zhangl@umn.edu
