Summary

Dr. Elise Watson Sarvas completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2015. She completed concurrent masters' degrees in Dentistry (Pediatric Dentistry) and Public Health (Health Services) as well as a Certificate in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Washington, also in 2015. Dr. Sarvas earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012.

While in residency, Dr. Sarvas was awarded a T-90 training grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research to conduct a study using a multidisciplinary approach to assess the oral health of children with cystic fibrosis. Before matriculating to dental school, Dr. Sarvas was an Intramural Research Trainee at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences where she studied the effects of the environment on respiratory disease. Her primary research interests center on patients with special health care needs, the oral-respiratory ecological relationship, access to pediatric oral health services and maternal and child health.

In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, marathons of the TV show variety, and spending time with her husband.
