Courses Fulfilling Minnesota's Mandatory and Core Subject Areas

Mandatory and core competency subject categories are required each biennial cycle for Minnesota licensees.

Infection control is a mandatory category.

Core subject areas include:

  • record keeping,
  • ethics,
  • patient communication,
  • management of medical emergencies, and
  • diagnosis and treatment planning (optional for DH and DA).
