Graduation 2015

Students, family, friends, and School of Dentistry faculty and staff gathered on May 15, 2015 to celebrate the accomplishments of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry Class of 2015 at a Commencement Ceremony held at Northrup Memorial Auditorium. The event was the 126th School of Dentistry commencement, welcoming the next group of dental professionals. One hundred and seventy-four students were recognized, including 108 who received doctor of dental surgery degrees, 34 graduates who are candidates for master's degrees and advanced education certificates, 23 candidates for a bachelor of science in dental hygiene degree, nine dental therapy students.

Jill L. Stoltenberg [LINK TO BIO], the School of Dentistry's 2014 Century Club Professor of the Year, led the procession of graduates, dignitaries and students and carried the University mace. Dean Leon Assael welcomed the guests and student speakers Georgios A. Kotskis (Certificate in Periodontology), Sophie C. Bove (dental hygiene), Karen E. Bohnen (dental therapy), Michael Warren Regan Anderson (doctor of dental surgery) spoke on behalf of their respective classes.
