Information Transfer

This aim will be accomplished by two specific activities including newsletters and publications.

Newsletters

A quarterly newsletter will bedistributed to all faculty and graduate students at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry as a means of communicating and encouraging participation in our Center. In the future, a quarterly newsletter will besent to all dentists in the State of Minnesota and corporate contacts. This newsletter is an outstanding mechanism for technology transfer and professional outreach of our Center. Each issue will highlight clinical research in our Center as well as notable clinical research publications that have appeared in the recent literature that would be of interest and value to the general practitioner. It is our perception that this would led to a greater appreciation of research by general practitioners in our state and give our Center genuine credibility with clinicians.

Results of Research

The success of our Center in achieving the Specific Aims can be documented in several ways. These include the success of our pilot projects in attracting additional funds for patient oriented research, product development, leveraged center support for clinical research, and our publication record.
