David O. Born, PhD

  • Dental Health Workforce - A variety of issues, including supply and demand, distribution problems (particularly in rural areas,) dual careers in dentistry (spouses both have careers,) the ramifications for recruiting dentists, and the needs and expectations of newly graduated dentists.
  • Access to Care - Access to care, especially as a function of the workforce. Recruiting dentists to rural communities.

Dr. Born can present either formal or informal lectures and can speak from 45 minutes to 3 hours--depending upon the needs of the client.

Workshops on recruiting dentists to rural communities can be developed for small groups (20 to 30 individuals.) These workshops involve educating clients about the dental profession, the needs and expectations of newly graduated dentists, dual career issues, as well as strategies and plans for recruitment.

Workforce lectures would also be of interest to all dental providers.
