The January 20 webinar kicked off this year’s Digital Grand Rounds series, set to focus on issues of diversity, equity and justice in oral and overall health.

Digital Grand Rounds

A series of webinars held by the School of Dentistry’s Continuing Dental Education department will examine dental research and practice in the context of key diversity, equity and justice issues. The free series, open to the public, will host three webinars throughout the Spring semester. 

Ophir Klein, MD, PhD

The Dr. Richard and Nancy Christiansen Craniofacial Research and Education Lecture featuring Ophir Klein, MD, PhD, will take place on October 26 via Zoom.

Give Kids a Smile 2019

University of Minnesota School of Dentistry dental, dental hygiene, dental therapy students, pediatric dentistry residents, staff and faculty came together on Saturday, February 9, at Moos Tower to provide oral health care to underserved children at the 14th annual Give Kids a Smile day.

Chainbreaker 2018

University of Minnesota School of Dentistry bicyclists and volunteers turned out in force Saturday, August 11, to raise funds to support cancer research at the Masonic Cancer Center.  The August 10-12 Chainbreaker bike-a-thon rallied more than 1,000 riders from throughout the University and community, including 78 from the School of Dentistry who rode in two pelotons/teams – Lytic Cycles and School of Dentistry – with each rider completing 25, 50, 100 or 180-mile routes.  The event started with a celebration festival Friday evening as riders and guests enjoyed an

Give Kids a Smile

On February 10, 2018, more than 450 volunteers - including dental, dental therapy and dental hygiene students and faculty, staff and residents from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry as well as outside licensed providers, pre-dent and interprofessional students - helped 197 kids at Give Kids a Smile.

The annual volunteer-run event helps connect children in need to the health care system and to the U-M Dental Clinics as their dental home.

2017 Minnesota State Fair

More than 700 fairgoers lined up in droves to meet and talk with University of Minnesota School of Dentistry volunteers at the 2017 Minnesota State Fair on Friday, August 25.
