Taha Akhtar, BDS, CAGS, MSD

Dr. Akhtar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, and a Clinical Prosthodontist at WFHC in Worcester, Massachusetts. He did his postdoctoral residency in Prosthodontics at Boston University. Dr. Akhtar is the co-founder and current President of the International Society of Education. He is the past Chairman of Postgraduate Residents of the American Dental Education Association in the USA. He began his career in dentistry after obtaining a dental degree as a Resident in the Dental and Maxillofacial Department at Saudi German Hospitals Group (SGH) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 

Before beginning his residency in the US, he was the Continuing Dental Education Director at Saudi German Hospital, where he supervised various dental courses across the USA, Saudi Arabia, Germany, South Asia & UAE. He has a keen interest in writing research papers relevant to different specialties in Dentistry. Dr. Akhtar has given research courses for students and residents to facilitate publishing their articles in recognized journals. He has given lectures and workshops locally and internationally in Germany, Denmark, Holland, UAE, KSA, and the USA. Dr. Akhtar initiated the idea of the International Society of Dentists (ISD), which transformed into a larger organization currently known as the International Society of Educators (ISE.)
