Herzberg elected AADR Vice President

Mark C. Herzberg

University of Minnesota School of Dentistry professor Mark C. Herzberg, DDS, PhD, was recently elected vice president-elect of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR). His term will begin following the conclusion of the 47th AADR Annual Meeting on March 21-24, 2018.

Herzberg, who serves as Director of the Minnesota Craniofacial Research Training Program (MinnCResT), has been part of the AADR since 1974.

Herzberg previously has served as an Editor of the Journal of Dental Research (1993-2004) and on the IADR/AADR Joint Publications Committee. He was a member of the Boards of Directors and Joint Finance Committee of the International and American Associations of Dental Research (1993-2004). He has been a member of the Microbiology and Immunology Research Group (1989-Present) and served as president elect (1990-91), president (1991-92) and past president (1992-93). He was on the Hatton Awards Committee, AADR and IADR Nominating Committees and served as Chairperson from 1990-91. He was also the Annual Session Committee and an Organizer of the inaugural Three Minute Thesis Completion® IADR/AADR in 2017. Herzberg won the IADR Distinguished Scientist Award in Oral Biology in 1995.
